WORSHIP MINISTRIES VISION
The purpose of the music & drama ministries of Oak Hill is to encourage an atmosphere of joy and inspiration,
as hearts prepare to celebrate Christ’s life and life in Christ!
Here at Oak Hill, we recognize that worship is a lifestyle! It is giving God the praise and glory due His name alone! During our corporate worship services, we recognize and use music (and during special times, drama and other visual arts) as a tool to help us offer our expressions of thanks, praise and love to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior!
If you join us on a Sunday morning, you may see a variety of instruments incorporated into our worship service. We utilize a praise team with piano, keyboard, guitarists, bass and drums. In addition, we have a small ensemble of orchestral instruments and a worship choir that join us on occasion. Our style is primarily contemporary, but we do include traditional hymns and choruses as we feel there is a rich value, both musically & theologically in many songs from our past.
We would love to have you join and worship with us!
| "Our heart's desire should be to worship God; we have been designed by God for this purpose. If we don't worship God, we'll worship something or someone else." - John Wimber |
Philippians 2:9-11 (ESV) Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. |
